A Final Request, Answered: Restaurant Owner Shelves Easter to Honor a Dying Man's Last Wish

Frank Ozimek spent his final days surrounded by nurses who gave him everything they had. His last wish was to give something back.

Ozimek, a 67-year-old father of three, was in hospice care as Easter approached — and all he wanted before he passed was to treat the nursing staff caring for him to a meal. He couldn't cook. He couldn't go out. But he knew someone who could help.

Tommy Milani, owner of Sub Delicious — a pizza and subs restaurant — got the call and didn't hesitate. He shelved his own Easter plans, fired up the kitchen, and showed up at the hospice with a spread for the entire nursing staff.

There are moments that ask very little of a person. And then there are moments that ask everything — your time, your holiday, your plans. Tommy Milani said yes to that kind of moment, for a man he didn't have to help, on a day most people spend with family.

The nurses who received the meal weren't just touched — they were overwhelmed. The people who spend their days easing others toward the end of life rarely expect anyone to think of them. Frank Ozimek did. And Tommy Milani made sure his wish came true.

Frank passed away not long after — but not before knowing that his final act of generosity had reached the people he wanted to thank. It's the kind of story that says more about a man's character in his final hours than most people manage in a lifetime.

In an America that sometimes feels divided, moments of grace like this happen quietly every day — in hospice rooms, in family-owned restaurants, in the simple act of feeding someone who needed it.
